Dot Mainwaring Foundation

In 2013 the club contacted the Dot Mainwaring Foundation to request a grant for help with our junior indoor winter tennis courses and were successful in winning a substantial donation towards the costs for the two venues Titus Salt School and Victoria Hall Saltaire. On behalf of the children the club would like to thank the Foundation for their help and support.

Wrose Community Centre

Wrose Community Centre

In april 2014 the club contacted Wrose Community Centre to request a grant towards running our affordable for all free summer tennis camps for children in the Wrose area and won a substantial donation which will allow 25 underprivileged children the chance to have fun get exercise and learn about the game of tennis, the club on behalf of the children who will attend would like to extend our thanks to the committee of Wrose Community Association.

In 2008 Illingworth McNair Insurance Brokers provided sponsorship of our Junior Tennis Development Program, which has enabled us to continue to build coaching opportunities throughout the year, with sustainable junior coaching throughout the winter. From 2007 BT Group have supported our Junior Tennis Development Program as part of their Community Champions Awards Scheme. This support has enabled us to introduce a competitive structure into the Junior Tennis Development Program with schools tournaments and junior open tournaments. Baildon Shipley

Baildon & Shipley Extended Schools Project

In 2007 Salts Tennis Club teamed up with the Baildon and Shipley Extended Schools project to take tennis coaching into the primary schools in the area. Our thanks go to Phil Downing and Ellen Brooks (Extended Schools Project Managers) for their support during the year.

In 2016 the club contacted Skipton Bldg Society to request a grant of £500.00 to help replace the tennis ball machine wiped out in the floods of 2015 this was accepted and we would like to thank them for their generosity

Watson Buckle Foundation

In March 2014 the Club contacted Watson Buckle Foundation to request a grant towards running our Affordable for All FREE SUMMER TENNIS CAMPS for children in the local area and won a substantial donation which will allow 35 underprivileged children the chance to try out the game of tennis in a relaxed secure and fun manner, the club on behalf of the children who will attend would like to extend our thanks to the committee.

Jack Pennington Ltd

Jack Pennington Ltd

In 2008 Jack Pennington Ltd provided sponsorship of our Junior Tennis Development Program, and tennis in Bradford, which enabled us to start a new ‘free tennis coaching in the parks’ activity during June and July. Our thanks go to Simon Mettrick (Jack Penningtons Ltd Operations Director) for his continued support.

LTA

Yorkshire LTA

In 2007 the Yorkshire LTA assisted us in building and agreeing a Junior Tennis and Club Facilities Development plan. This has enabled us to obtain support from the LTA for the floodlighting of 2 courts, which was completed in 2008. The YLTA also sponsored the Tennis Development Program with Titus Salt School. Our thanks go to Paul Bennett and Gavin Sutcliffe (Yorkshire LTA County Development Officer) for their ongoing support.

In 2007 we were successful in obtaining a Government Sportsmatch grant on the back of Pace’s sponsorship of the Junior Tennis Development Program. The Sportsmatch grant has enabled us to continue the tennis coaching and talent ID spotting in local primary schools. Our thanks go to Robin Hodkinson (Group Scheme Manager).

Wycliffe and Saltaire Action Group

In 2007 The Wycliffe and Saltaire Action Group provided a grant to the Tennis club to take tennis coaching and talent ID spotting into Wycliffe and Saltaire Primary schools. This project includes; tennis coaching in the schools, talent ID, scholarships into the junior coaching program, tennis coaching training for primary school teachers, and mini tennis equipment for the school. Our thanks go to Chris Murdoch (Area partnership Development Officer).

Tiger Mobiles

Tiger Mobiles

Tiger Mobiles helped with the design and layout of our website and also run the Tiger Mobiles Tennis Challenge Prediction Game which is a bracket based game for all Grand Slams and Masters 1000’s.
